Adding cayenne pepper:
Not only can cayenne pepper aid digestion, help regulate blood sugar and improve circulation, but it also increases your body temperature causing your metabolism to speed up and burn more calories.
THE METHOD
Waking up to a warm glass of water helps flush out all those toxins leftover your system and just generally wake the body up. Think about how we know heat loosens/melts right? So adding warmth to water automatically helps loosen those toxins in the system and expedite the detox process. When your body is flushed from toxins your blood circulation increases as well. Hints why drinking first thing in the morning (on an empty stomach) is a great way to start the day!
WHAT DOES IT TASTE LIKE?
I mean lets keep it one hunnid, contrary to its look, this stuff does NOT taste like a cool cup of morning OJ. This does in fact taste like you are in deed drinking spices. lol Lets start there, because there is no way around that fact. HOWEVER, as you begin to make this a part of your routine you do get use to the taste. My fav comparison is alcohol. I'm sure when you took your first drink you might have gagged, winced, and hollered YUCK. But you still kept drinking right? Same concept better motive though. Instead of drinking something horrible to be social or have a good time let's take that same energy into the health side of our lives. NO it might not taste the best but were not looking to fix a sweet tooth, were trying to heal ourselves here. In summary if turmeric, ginger and that little splash of lemon in one cup can add the type of benefits explained perviously. Let's guzzle up and train our bodies to be good to ourselves.

I try to make sure that I make my tea at the start of the week, so that it’s one less thing I have to worry about as the crazy week begins. I make enough for 4 days, so in the mornings all I have to do is pour and go. I try to always drink my tea warm, but sometimes I have to enjoy it cold. My husband and I haven’t used a microwave since 2017(that’s a whole different blog post lol) so rewarming it in on the stove is an extra step that I don’t always have time for, especially on busy mornings. If you have to enjoy your tea cold, no worries! Many people that make their ginger turmeric tea in batches and store it in the fridge, drink their tea cold; & several stores sell cold ginger turmeric shots, so just “get it how you live!” A warm glass of tea is def the goal, but if you have to drink it cold the benefits are still there & your body appreciates the extra love you’re giving it!
