Our Top 5 Fit Tips
1. Plan your workout in advance
I found helpful in my journey with body by brey to take my workouts and write them on a dry erase board the night or morning before my workout. not only does it allow you to see your workout without having to keep messing with our phone or computer. It also allows you brain to fully gage and prepare for what it's about to do. After writing out my workout I've come out with a clear instructions right in front of me and my mind is already warmed up to the idea of what I'm about to do.
2. Purchase a Workout mat
Our absolute fav! Liforme
3. Have a set workout space.
This space can be in the family room, the garage, the front porch, your bedroom. It doesn't matter. But you need to have a space that is designated workout zone. As soon as you enter the zone you know your about to put in work. I dont care if your a mom and you've got Peppa Pig blaring while you've got your music going trying to get your squat on, you need a space. Your area does not have to be big at all where-ever i throw my mat down that day is my space. I treat it as such. My water bottle, towel, and any workout equipment I need gets transported to my new spot. Sometimes we get into our own heads in feeling defeated for not being a "gym shark' or having a membership somewhere. We're here to show and tell that BABY YOUR ARE THE GYM. whatever you throw your mat down IS THE GYM. Adapt that mindset nobody will be able to knock you off this journey but you!
4. Be in competition with YOURSELF.
Since when did 'stay in your own lane' not apply to work-outing out? Yes, it's perfectly normal to have goals, body goals, booty goals, whatever kind of goals. But we have to realize that even those goals we look to will suit us different. No one person has the same outcome on anything. The sooner you realize that in terms of fitness the more clear your eye will become on your own road! And isn't that whats most important? I mean Beyonce is NOT living your life, you are. So every day with every thought dont compare where you dont compete. And the only one you should be trying to be better is you, yesterday.
5. Record yourself
This can be super intimating for most people. But we have found this is literally one of the best things you could do for yourself. At the end of the day nobody has to see the film but you. But we can tell you from personal experience, when you workout out with the camera rolling the pressure to go hard is definitely on. I find myself holding better form as I want to look good on camera but that only boosts my workout because obvi you want to have THE best form to get the most out of your workout. Recording also allows for tracking your performance to see how much progress has been made day to day week to week. Record and literally yourself and see yourself transform form week to week. Its also a slight flex when you do something you didn't think you could and realize HEY I GOT THAT ON CAMERA. You can share it with the world...
